Paul Edwin Stewart Bergam died Sunday, April 23, 2006 at the age of 93, in Sun City West, AZ. He was born in Spanaway, WA September 15, 1912, and was raised in eastern Montana. He was married to Emily Rose Tosch for 55 years. Emily preceded him in death in 1993. Also preceding him in death was his son, Dean Stewart Bergam in 1998, and grandsons Ian Stewart Bergam in 1989, and Travis Paul Moore in 1998.

Paul and Emily had seven children. Paul is survived by Darvis Bobo of Surprise, Arizona, Paula Merritt of Anchorage, Alaska, Judith Bergam of Richland, Bradford Bergam of Reno, Nevada, Paul Bergam of Austin, Texas, and Shawna Moore of Milwaukie, Oregon. He is survived by 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The Bergam family lived in Richland from 1951 until the early 1960’s when they moved to Benton City. Paul lived there until 2001 when he sold his home and then spent his time with his children until his death.

Dedication of the grave and graveside services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland, followed by an 11:00 AM memorial service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1101 Fay Avenue, Benton City, WA.
