Grace Ann Harris

On Sunday, Sept 17, Grace Ann Harris of Richland peacefully passed away at Kadlec Medical Center. She lived in Richland for almost 20 years. Grace Ann is survived by Welden Pledger, her husband of 37 years; her sisters Margaret Madison and Barbara Rhodes; her daughters Barbara Lynn and Jennifer Happ; her step-sons James Allen, John Michael, and Frederick Dawson; 11 grandchildren; and her cat Bonita.

Grace Ann was born on August 31, 1934 in Cambridge, Massachusetts but traveled extensively worldwide, first with her father, a Captain in the Coast Guard, and then with her husband Welden. She was a graduate of William and Mary College. She was an avid bridge player, gardener, stamp collector and knitter.

Grace Ann was loved and admired by many and will be deeply missed. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
