We are deeply saddened to learn of Vernita’s death. What a dear, wonderful and amazing lady. Our mother, Loette Hatfield, will be happy to have her there with her in heaven. Vernita, Loette and Evelyn will have alot of catching up to do. After all, it has been a couple of years since they have seen each other. Vernita was like a sister to Loette and Evelyn. They grew up together. We enjoyed our time together with them and hearing about their growing up years. We were happy we could be at Vernita’s 90th birthday celebration. You would have never know she was 90. She always seemed and looked so much younger. We loved Vernita and will miss her very much.
As I think of Mrs. Murphy today, a flood of memories I had forgotten come back to me. These memories of her leave me smiling. That in itself says a lot about what a warm, funny and wonderful person she was. I am thinking of you Dru and send my love.
Mrs. Murphy was one of the nicest and kindest ladies I have known. I haven’t seen her in years but just thinking about her brings back many happy memories of high school and post high school years hanging out with Dru. Mrs. Murphy always welcomed all the kids and made us feel very special with her parties and attention. My condolences to you, Dru. You are very lucky to have such a special Mom.
Dru-
I loved/love your mom like she was my own blood. She was a very special lady who touched my heart incredibly. I will never be able to sit in church again and not think about my special “Auntie”. She took me under her wing and made Jeff and I feel very special. I will miss her laughter and all the good times we had visiting together. As we have talked, I do know, my daddy and her are in heaven with their full hearing capacity again and that is such a comfort for me.
Please know I am always here for you, if you need to talk or if there is anything else I can do. I really do mean this!
Love always-

Dru: My thoughts and prayers are certainly with you. Your Mom was a great lady — a devoted Mom and wife. I loved it when you come around so often with Sherry. You kids were so darned cute.
My love to you from Anna Mae
We’re really sorry to hear of Vernita’s passing. We hope your fond memories of her will bring you peace in your heart. I remember Vernita and Grandma Evelyn being very close and the stories grandma would share of them growing up together in Troy. You are all in our thoughts and prayers! God Bless, Mike and Wendy
