  • My family met Angie and Rudy, her wonderful late husband back in 1952 when I was only 3. We moved to Kennewick from Illinois into their neighborhood and my mother, Milly Morfeld and Angie quickly became instant friends for life. Some of my fondest childhood memories include Angie. Mother and her had lots of cups of coffee at our kitchen table and shared the ups and downs of life together. I had my first cup of coffee with them! Angie and Rudy both taught me how to drive a car and even took me to get my license. When the children were born I became their favorite babysitter. I loved to watch the children, “Little Angie, Lydia, and “Little Rudy”. Angie would always make a fresh batch of her flour tortilles for me, which I loved and she taught us how to make her famous enchilladas! I always admired the love Angie and Rudy had for each other. Every Friday night I would babysit for them so Rudy could take her out of dinner and dancing. He was a true gentleman and loved her so much. She was a wonderful mother and cared very deeply for her family. She was a very faithful friend to my mother throughout her life and I admired her for her faithful spirit. I regret that I am unable to attend the memorial service to honor her life. There is no doubt in my mind that she is now reunited with Rudy and Little Rudy, and if there is coffee in heaven, I know that she will be sitting down with mother, drinking a cup together and laughing and smiling together. God be with your family as you grieve your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Thank God that she is now happy and whole and free at last. Your friend always, Ruth Marie Morfeld Callaway

  • I was a friend of Rudy’s since first grade at St.Josephs and I have known Mrs. Gonzalez for many years. She was a beautiful and spiritual person and I’m sure she will be missed. I am sure she is smiling to be re-united with her son.
