Constanza Cantu Leal, 79, most recently of Seattle WA, died Sunday, February 18th, 2007, in Seattle. She was born March 11, 1927, in the state of Texas.

Constanza moved to the Yakima Valley in 1954, where she met and married her only true love, Esteban Leal. In 1966 Constanza and family moved from Grandview, WA, to the Tri-Cities. She worked for Universal Foods in Pasco for 25 years until her retirement in 1991 following her husband's death.

In 2001 at the urging of her only son, Elifonso Leal, she and her baby sister, Angelica Cantu, who had been living with since the passing of her husband, moved to Seattle WA to be with her son.

Constanza, or ''Connie'' as she was known to her friends, was cherished with a happy spirit who loved the simple things in life: A good barbequed hamburger, or a visit to the mall, it was all fun to her. She enjoyed getting out and dressing up for for any simple outing, to a movie and or a simple dinner with her sister and son.

At home she was a perfect mother and head of household, taking care of the home and taking care of her son.

Constanza is survived by her son, Elifonso Leal, of Seattle WA; sister Guadalupe Cantu of Monterrey Mexico; brothers Pedro, Oscar and Roman Cantu, all of Monterrey, Mexico.

Constanza was preceded in death by her sister, Angelica Cantu and brother Jose Cruz Cantu.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, February 27, at 6:00 pm at Einan’s Funeral Home Richland. Viewing will be 5:00-8:00 PM Tuesday the 27th, also at Einan’s. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at 11:00 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pasco. Cremation will follow services. 2007, at 11 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pasco.
