Ingeborg Viktoria Boyd
Ingeborg V. Boyd, age 78, passed away peacefully February 19th at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 10, 1928 in Vorchdorf, Austria, the youngest child of Franz and Elisabeth Pasnocht.
Inge was working as a secretary for the Austrian Red Cross in Gmunden, Austria when she met Cecil Boyd in November 1945 while he was stationed with the U.S. Army during World War II. They were married on July 9, 1947 in Vorchdorf, Austria.
After Cecil was discharged from the Army, they moved to Corvallis, Oregon, where he attended Oregon State University. They moved to the Tri-Cities on a hot August 2, 1951. Upon their arrival Inge's reaction was ''1 year'', but she never left.
Inge Boyd was a homemaker dedicating her life to raising her children. She could always be counted on to be there for us. She particularly enjoyed her beautiful rose and flower gardens. Inge loved her trips back to her ''homeland'' Austria over the years. She especially enjoyed celebrating her 50th Wedding Anniversary in Vorchdorf with her entire family.
Inge leaves behind her husband of almost 60 years, Cecil; daughters Karin Ray Moss of Moses Lake, Linda Dick Arnot of Kennewick and Ava Bill Lauby of Mukilteo; sons Gerald Laura Boyd of Kennewick and John Lisa Boyd of Boise, ID; grandchildren Brian and Darren Moss, Meghan and Cameron Boyd, Alexis Boyd, David Boyd, and Kathleen Runnells; and great-grandchildren Tyrrell and Symone Runnells. She is also survived by her sisters Maria Edi Kiesenhofer, Eva Franz Jungwirth; nieces Susanne Stockhammer and Ingeborg Jungwirth of Austria. She was preceded in death by her parents. Furthmore, she is survived by sister and brothers-in-law Grace Buckner, Phyllis Fred Drebes, David Delilah Boyd, Walter Donna Boyd, Iris Roy Carlson, Leslie Charles Moyer, and Ronald Liliya Boyd.
Graveside services will be conducted February 23rd at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Thursday, February 22nd at Einans Funeral Home, Richland.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Tri-City Hospice Chaplaincy or the Tri-City Cancer Center.
I was on the Einan’s site this morning looking for an old neighbor’s listing when I came across the listing for Mrs Boyd. In my high school days and for a couple of years after- I was a somewhat frequent visitor to the Boyd household- John was just a baby. I have very pleasant memories of Mrs Boyd- she always had a smile for you and would actively engage you in conversation. I have often wanted to re-visit the Boyd’s but time and distance tend to get in the way.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. Your mother/wife was a very special lady. Peace.
To the entire Boyd family. What a wonderful woman, Inga. I have missed her over the years. My prayers for you all.

Cecil and family: We were so sorry to read of Inga’s passing. We remember her as a young mother with her blonde braids and flowers in her hair. You were both good friends to a couple of young kids in the PRTR days from 1951. Scott is still kicking although mostly chair-bound with his Parkinsons Disease. Our condolances. Fern & Scott Kelly
I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Inge’s illness and death. She was a lovely, spunky woman and I am sure she will be missed by Uncle Cecil, her children and grandchildren.
Our thoughts are with you as you grieve the passing of your mother.
