In Memory of Robert Allen Parsons Bob
Bob was born November 1, 1942 to Clarence and Corrine Kellum Parsons in Los Angeles, California. After a brief period of time Bobs parents relocated ultimately with Bob living and loving the Northwest. Bob acquired various skills in his youth but demonstrated a strong aptitude as a mechanic which soon became his legacy. Bob worked a variety of jobs as a mechanic but was known in the Tri-Cities as the go-to-guy for marine mechanics. He could restore the oldest, most complex, marine component or installation and ask nothing more than your firm handshake and a thank you. Bob married the love of his life Sheryl over 32 years ago and raised not only the newly acquired family but also adopted the entire entourage that included an untold number of children that would soon come to think of Bob as their second disciplinarian and also as their Dad. Bob never minced words and he was certainly a man of his word. You never had to guess where you stood or how he felt because he would share those sentiments, even if they were less than flattering, in a heart-beat. Bob was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He was a man of honor who will be greatly missed. Bob is survived by a loving family; his wife Sheryl Parsons, son and wife, Roger and Verleen Richardson, Daughters, Gwen Gangon and husband Troy, and Kristi Parsons, Grandchildren, Roger III, Dillon, Daniel, Kaylee, Ashlyn, Tanner, and Amethyst. Additionally, Bob is survived by his brother Don and wife Sheila, numerous nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in-laws, and a loving Father-in-law, Bryan M. Spicer. Flowers may be sent to Country Christian Church, in Pasco, WA with Pastor Dwight Ropp providing services on Monday, February 19, 2007 at 3 p.m. Please send your donations to your local Hospice as they are truly a gift and blessing from God.
Say not in grief ''he is no more'', but live in thankfulness that he was. Hebrew Proverb
Grandpa i will always remember working on my truck with you.
Honey, We had good times and we had some bad times, but the good times out-weighed the bad. I love and miss you more than you will ever know. I know the last month was a rough one for you. I know that you turned to God for answers, etc. in the last days and I am hoping that we will be in heaven together. Life has been empty without you. When I get lonely, I hug your pillow you held those last days to help ease your pain and now it helps ease my pain. You were a great friend, husband and father and will be missed by many. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!
I will keep my promise to you, maybe not as soon as you would want, but as soon as I will be able to let go…… Your Wife and Friend, Sheryl
Dad, I will always remember being by your side when the Lord took you home to be with him. You were always there for me weather you agreed with me on my decisions or not.I will never forget when you would say to me, I told you so Gwendolyn Mae. I love and miss you dad. You will be in my heart daily.I can’t wait to see you in heaven.
My sincere condolences to the Parsons Families…
