Dennis Charles McCann

Dennis Charles McCann, 70, passed away at the Life Care Center of Richland on March 29, 2007. Dennis was born on August 7, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI. He was the son of Charles & Evelyn Weiss McCann. Dennis graduated from Salamanca High School in Salamanca, NY in 1954 and attended Marquette University in Wisconsin. Dennis was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Dennis married his wife of almost 48 years, Mary Lee Montgomery McCann, on August 24, 1957 in St. Louis, MO. They moved from Missouri, Arizona, Louisiana, and Illinois until settling in Richland in 1970.

Dennis worked as an instrument specialist and planner at Hanford, retiring from Fluor Hanford in 2002. He loved to read, cook, and travel. His greatest joy came from his family especially his adored grandchildren. Dennis’s irascible spirit and devilish wit will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Dennis is survived by his sister Sheila McCann Ebert of Allegany, NY; daughters Patty Jones of Elko, NV, and Deborah Garrett Loehding of Pasco; and his beloved grandchildren Leman & Jasmyn Jones, Michelle & Quinn Bundrant, and Lindsey & Alexi Loehding. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee McCann, his parents Charles & Evelyn McCann, and his daughter, Kathleen McCann Bundrant.

At his request, Dennis will be cremated and no funeral service will be held. Please join his family in celebrating Dennis’s life anytime between 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the home of Deborah & Garrett Loehding, 9804 Coronado Dr, Pasco WA. Requests for further contact information should be directed to Einan’s Funeral Home
