Larry, I met you several years ago when your daughter Annette and mine played Miss Richland Fast-Pitch Softball.
Although our daughter’s seldom shared playing on the same team I knew you as one father to another who had his daughter’s best interest at heart.
I still remember the “special” team that was put together for one weekend play in Yakima and one of the best hits from any of our player’s was a line-drive that Annette did with our opponent from the West side of the State.
She hit that ball with so much force that my bones still rattle just thinking of it and I imagine that third baseman found out just how much of a punishment position that third base player has.
Those were the best years.
Larry, you will always be remembered fondly sporting that pan-handle mustache you used to have.
My family’s deepest, heart-felt condolences to your family and friends.
Take care, my friend.
Go with God.
Dear Linda and family:
Although we have been neighbors for only 13 years, it seems like I have known you and Larry all my life. I always enjoyed coming over to visit with Larry. He was a great guy. I will miss the summer BBQ’s in the backyard, the chats on the screen porch, and just the general friendship we shared. I know it sounds like a small thing, but I very much appreciated Larry’s help a couple of weeks ago in getting our birch tree cut down. Even though he was barely able to get around, he wanted to be there to help, because that’s the kind of guy he was — someone who would do anything for anyone at any time.
I will always treasure my memories of Larry and the good times we shared. Anytime you need anything, please let me know. I will be there to do what I can to help.
