Thomas J Wood of Richland, Washington died on August 19, 2007 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on August 29, 1923 in Cameron, Missouri. Tom came to the Tri Cities as an Engineer in 1969 and retired from Rockwell in 1989. He served in the Army in World War II in Okinawa.

Tom loved golf and was active at the Tri City Country Club. He was also involved in the Elks and Oddfellows Lodges, Kiwanis Club, the Union Gospel Mission, Church, and Twin Lakes Association.

He is survived by his wife, Mary W. Wood; Steve son and Connie Wood; Gary son Wood; Gary step-son and Marikay Sebade; Roxanne step-daughter and Richard Alkire, and Kendra, Trevor, and Ryan Alkire grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Clara Strand.

Private family graveside services were held on August 22nd.
