So long to a fellow ’47 Bomber and sincere condolences to the family. Until we meet again..
I will always cherish the times that I played golf with Chuck. He was a fun guy to be around and was always quick with a funny joke. He had a great sense of humor and could laugh about things that many people would have seen as adversity.
To my classmate Lael and the rest of the family both Alice and I extend our condolences to each and everyone of you.
To the bereaved
Our memories of Charlie are many, going back to 1944 and Hi School. He never stopped smiling, and had a quick humor that brought smiles to all he touched. Bless you Lael, we will call you asap.
Later, dear friend
One of my fond memories of Chuck is how positive he was. I can still see him standing by his door in the hall at the old McLoughlin greeting the kids as they came into his room. The kids loved him, and he had a way of getting even the most reluctant student involved. I know he made a big difference in the lives of a lot of kids.
I know he was proud of his family. Im sure he was proud that Marc and Jodi are continuing the teaching that he loved.
Even though I havent seen or spent time with him in recent years that doesnt mean I havent thought about him. He had an influence on my life, and I know many others as well. We will all miss Charles a lot.
