Dan Thomas Reese was born 10/10/1937 in Las Cruces, NM, where he lived until age 12 when his family moved to Santa Fe, NM. He attended St. Michael High School thru 12th grade and three years at St. Michaels College, majoring in Civil Engineering. He later took correspondence courses in Structural Engineering.
At age 19 Dan entered the Marines but was given a medical discharge after boot camp due to scar tissue on his lungs from Burliosis at a young age. After leaving college, he worked for a contractor in Santa Fe, Allan Stamm and Assoc., first doing surveying then construction of housing developments and then estimating.
He volunteered for the Army when he was approximately 26 and served 3 years in Georgia then finally in Alaska at Fr. Richardson. When he was discharged he went to work for Fuller in Anchorage and transferred down to Seattle after a short time. The rest of his life was spent in the Greater Seattle area, from Bellingham to Bothel1.
He was a natural born hunter: loved shooting sports, rifle and eventually was introduced to shotgun sports about 1974. Dan became an avid trap shooter with his wife Rosemary.
He is survived by his son Dan T. Reese Jr. of Boise Idaho, son James E. Reese of Everett, WA and his beloved wife Rosemary. He has 7 grandchildren on his side by his sons and 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild who all considered him ''Grandpa'' from his wife Rosemarys side.
