Iline Lindsey Obituary

Iline Lindsey, 84, a lifelong homemaker, died November 21st, after an extended illness.

The Herrin, Illinois native was born October 2, 1923 as the 5th of 7 children, and lived in Kennewick for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by 5 of her 6 siblings, her husband of 58 years, Charles H. Lindsey, as well as her grandchildren Stacie Johnson and Sean Newton. She is survived by her sister, Pauline Hodges of Herrin, Illinois, as well as her sons Charles Lindsey and Thomas Lindsey, both of Kennewick; daughters Marian Crawford, Linda Banks, and Rose Smitch, all of Kennewick, and Brenda Redmond of Moraga, California; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Iline enjoyed her children and their families, gardening, camping, and traveling in her motor home. She also enjoyed her dog Mindy, and an occasional trip to the local casinos. In more recent years, she enjoyed traveling with the Ramblin’ Rovers, a local senior travel group.

A memorial service will be held at Einan’s Funeral Home, Richland, WA on Tuesday, November 27th , at 11 a.m. Viewing will be Sunday, November 25th, from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Einan’s Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent to Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice, 2108 W. Entiat Avenue , Kennewick ,WA 99336.
