Irene Wapniarek Titus
Irene Wapniarek Titus, 74, of Pasco died peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 12. Irene was born to William and Helen Wapniarek on April 9, 1933 in Wilmington, Delaware. She graduated from St. Hedwig School and Wilmington High School and was a member of St. Hedwig Catholic Parish. On August 10, 1957, Irene married Ralph John Titus and together raised six children. Ralph and Irene and their children moved to Richland, WA in 1982. Irene was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Parish, the Young Ladies Institute, and sang in the church choir. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and friend, and will be forever missed.
Irene is survived by her children: Deborah Titus Feuerborn Christina of Richland, WA, Robert Titus of Kennewick, WA, Ralph Titus and wife Bernadetta Benjamin of Bellevue, WA, Donna Titus Brouns and husband Thomas of Pasco, WA, Maryellen Titus of Care Free, AZ, and Laura Titus Leavitt and husband Brian Caleb, Luke, Claire of Green Acres, WA, and 1 great-grandson Jonathan, sisters Joan Long and Leona Ziolkowski, brother Jack Wapniarek, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband Ralph John Titus, infant son Timothy, parents William and Helen Wapniarek, brother Alfred Wapniarek and sister Eleanor Kowalewski.
A Recitation of Rosary service will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church Chapel in Richland. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 17, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Catholic Family & Child Services, 2139 Van Giesen Street, Richland, WA 99352.
