Patricia Jean Aichele
Patricia Jean Aichele passed away on December 2, 2007 following heart surgery at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Pat was born on February 5, 1929 in San Francisco, CA to Patrick James and Carol Jean Cochrane. She grew up in the Touchet area, where she met and later married her husband Walter Aichele in 1949 and lived in Richland for over 55 years.
Pat took nurses training and worked at Hanford for a short time. She enjoyed bowling and working as a banquet waitress. Pat may be best known for teaching many girls to twirl a baton and parade march. She formed the Atomic Twirlers and produced a number of national and international baton twirling champions during the 20 years she taught and traveled the globe. Pat loved to sew, quilt and knit and made keepsake treasures for family and friends for most of her life. She especially cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren and will be most remembered for her love of her family.
She is survived by sons, Ted Olga and Mike Aichele, and sister-in-law, Chris Aichele, all of Richland, grandchildren, Amy Peter, Jaclyn Curtis, Alina Sergey, Jennifer Adam, Jason Mindy, Alicia, Cheri and Aaron, and great-granddaughters Patrisia and Madeleine, sister, Colleen Hull, and brothers, Lester, Dean, Lyle and Jim Harpe. Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Carol, husband, Walter, son Tim, and brothers Bob Cochrane, and Dale and John Harpe.
Patricias love and kindness will be missed by all who knew her, particularly by her family.
A viewing will be available on Friday, December 7, between 5 to 8 pm at Einans Funeral Home, 915 By-Pass Highway in Richland.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8 at 2:00 pm at Central United Protestant Church, 1124 Stevens Drive, Richland.

Pat was so kind to me. She and sister in law Leona and I had many fun road trips together.
She was a really fun gal. I will miss her.
Our sympathy to all Pat’s family. She was a special lady.
God Bless Mike.
Pat was instrumental in laying a foundation of love, compassion and strength into my life. She taught me about hard work and determination. She gave me a love for baton twirling, not just for the sake of competing and winning, but for bringing joy into people’s lives and sharing the gifts and talents that God gave to me through her. I carry with me part of Pat’s Spirit of giving, of careing and of fun. Pat was a very special lady in my life, and she always will be. May the love of Jesus give the entire family hope of a reunion some day, in Heaven…I want to be in the Parade marching down the “streets of gold,” directed by Pat!
