  • Oh my goodness this is for you Barb, I miss first and foremost your Mom & Dad my William tell, and now it seems I get to miss you too. Yeah you mean Not !!! And you was a gruff talker at time’s, but so tame to be around, I was happy to see you at Church , I enjoyed our time we spent chatting on the phone and talking about our dogs. I remember you cooked turkey for the dogs, and I thought you was nuts, but they were your babies and you treated them all so well. I remember the day I met you when I came with your Aunt Lola to take care of your Mom.

I was flabbergasted by you at first and then as we got to know each other better, we was just like Sister’s and I loved you alot.

Well Thank God I know where you are in Heaven with your folks & Uncle Mike too.

And I also remember meeting Kip at your house and then you started bringing him to Pizza Hut for Church Night out.

I’ll miss you my friend… As will the family left behind. Tally and the grandchildren , My heart goes out to all of you.

  • Dear Barb,

I enjoyed the evenings playing SKIP-BO with you and Kip. I had lots of fun on the trip we took to pan for gold: but no gold. I enjoyed going to Mount Rainier with you and Kip. I liked going for our walks and all the times we had together. I also loved all our shared stories. I missed you when you moved, but I loved writing to you. I am happy you got to be with Tally. Thank you for being my friend and neighbor.

  • I want to share some of my memories that I had with Barb. When I think of pink I will always think of Barb. I can remember coming home from work and sitting with her in the living room talking and petting her animals Ty, then Me Tu, Fugi, Cuttles and the other two cats Tee and Thumper. Barb loved her animals as they were all family. She kept saying that Cuttles was my cat. I brought him over. Cuttles was a stray that was crying in-between our garages. When I went over to tell Barb, she opened the door and Cuttles ran into the house and stayed. In the early years Barb, Margaret and I would play cards until late into the night. What fun. Barb loved her yard and would mow the back yard with what I called her vacuum cleaner. Which is a battery powered lawn mower. She also bought flowers for her flower beds and would say that’s all I am going to buy. I have enough. The next thing I would see is her with more flowers for her flower beds. Barb would call me over every spring and fall to reset her thermostat on her heat pump. Oh, I also set her sprinkler system and satellite system. When the grandkids came over the trucker side of her would come out. She would cuss and the grandkids would just laugh. She said one time I made her give a quarter every time she cursed. As the years went by there was less and less cursing. For little over a year Barb and I would go to Kentucky Fried Chicken for a $2.99 country fried steak. I remember Barb ask me if I had ever been to Mount Rainier. The next think I knew Barb, Margaret and I were going to Mount Rainer. We all had a great time. This was very memorable. Barb loved to make Shepard’s pie and of course she would invite me over to have some.

Barb treated me like family and made me feel at home when I was around. There are so many memories. It was great having Barb as a friend and neighbor.

I am glad that she was able to be with Tally and still have her own place with all her animals. She needed to be close to family at that time of her life. Thanks to Tally and Chuck, Barb was happy in her new home close to them.

Remember Pink and if you knew Barbara you will think of her.

    Barbara’s neighbor and friend,
