Charlotte M. Beggerow “Auntie Char”

Char Beggerow, 85, passed away January 30, 2008 at Hospice House in Kennewick, Washington. She was born to Hans and Ellen Beggerow February 16, 1922 in Menomonie, Wisconsin.

In 1944 Char joined the US Navy. She was a Yeoman First Class and was discharged in 1946.

Char arrived in the Tri-Cities in 1946 to work for General Electric in the housing office. She retired after working 45 years as a secretary for various Hanford contractors.

Char was a very generous person. Her family, church and choir meant the world to her. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and choir for over 55 years.

Char was preceded in death by her parents Hans and Ellen Beggerow of Menomonie, Wisconsin, and by her brother Carl of Richmond, California.

Char is survived by her sister Eileen Callies; niece Karen Rob Rheinschmidt; nephew Richard Tonya Callies. She is also survived by her extended nieces and nephews Matthew Julie, Daniel Mary, Jared Rheinschmidt, Joanna Seth Worley, Kyle and Kenny Callies.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday February 2nd at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Richland, Washington.

    Mike and I wanted to send you our thoughts and prayers today as you remember Auntie Char at her memorial service. Auntie Char was a funny, wonderful, loving, independent woman who I will miss, but will look forward to seeing her again. Sorry we couldn’t be there in person.
