Gerilee Cruz, 78, of Pasco passed away January 30, 2008 at the Richland Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 18, 1929 in Racine, Missouri, to Harry and Pauline Sparlin Martin. She moved with her family to Prosser as a child, and attended Prosser Schools. She married Robert L. Beightol on January 7, 1945. Gerilee and Bob had four sons, Roger, Richard, Steven and Robert M. Beightol. Gerilee was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prosser for many years. She was always involved in various Church functions. Some of Gerilee's favorite times were trips to the mountains, going to Whistlin Jacks for Dinner, and vacations to the ocean.

Gerilee married Victor Cruz on July 18, 1983. They operated a custom asparagus harvesting operation and then a fruit and vegetable business where they purchased produce in the valley and transported it to markets in Washington, Idaho and Montana.

Gerilee was preceded in death by her father Harry; mother Pauline, brother Harry Wayne Martin, and son Steven Beightol.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Victor Cruz, her three sons Roger Florence, Richard Cheryl, Robert Ronda and daughter-in-law Sharon Beightol. She is also survived by her extended family Mimi Cruz Allen Carroll, Vicki Kevin Brown, Debbie Cruz, Victor Toni Cruz Jr., 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at Einan's Funeral Home, 915 By-Pass Highway in Richland, WA at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 11, 2008.
