Gregory Dean Barbee, 42, a Richland resident of 31 years, passed away January 26, 2008, in Spokane, WA. He was born on June 17, 1965 in Lewiston, ID to Tracy and Sharon Barbee. His family moved to Richland in 1976 where Greg graduated from Hanford High School in 1983.
Greg was a computer specialist at Adult Day Services in Kennewick for the past 16 years. Along his side he involved his son Tyler to help him care for the clients. Greg was also a very active father in his son’s sports, attending all Tyler’s events.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Brenda Host-Barbee; son, Tyler Barbee; mother Sharon England and stepfather Jerry England; sisters, Brenda Bishop Bill, LeAnn Taylor Randy, Tonya Bjorklund Darrell and brother, Kyle England Kay C. Greg is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Kristina, Jamie, Jordon, Jake, Arthur III and by his grandmother Betty Pardue of Lewiston, ID as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Tracy Dean Barbee and his grandparents Clarence Tuffy, Alberta Hosley and Lee Pardue.
Greg was a very loving family member who will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Central United Protestant Church in Richland on February 1, 2008 at 2:00 pm. There will be a private burial held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland, WA.
Memorial contributions maybe made to any Gesa Branch under Greg’s name.
His heart was so full it had a hole in it. I knew Greg in High School. I considered him a friend.
All of the family is in our thoughts and prayers. Everyone that knew Greg was taught how precious life really is. His life was and will always be an inspiration. God Bless.
We will miss you so much. Your kindness, your humor, your love of life. The love & pride in your eyes for your son Tyler, and your lovely Brenda. You truely left footprints on our hearts. We love you!

Wow what a shock to learn this tonight. I use to race rc cars qith greg. He was always a first class racer. and was always there to lend advice. greg you will be missed

Greg you will always be loved and cherished by so many. Your passing is a huge loss to us all, but you are in a better place. You were blessed with a caring family and should be comforted to know Tyler, Brenda and all the family are left in the best of hands. I know you will keep watch over us all and you will be a constant reminder to us all to always continue to hope and fight even if the odds seem meek. We all love you very much and are happy you are at peace.

Thank you all who are praying for our family. We truly appreciate everything you all are doing for our family at this time. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and for just being there. To Greg: I will miss you as you were my best friend, but I will always remember how much you cared for others and how much your son meant to you. We will always be there for Brenda and Tyler, just like you were there for me.
GOD BLESS YOU, GREG! I know you will be looking down on all of us today..We are all going to miss you so much. You were such a fighter, such an inspiration to all of us. There will always be an emptiness in our hearts. But there is no more pain and suffering for you. I know you and God will help all of us make it through this day. We love you so much!!!!
