Donna Kay Daily
Donna Kay Daily passed on into the arms of her loving God on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in Richland, Washington at the age of 58. Donna was a wonderful person with a generous soul and strong love of family. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered by those who loved her.
Donna leaves behind her loving husband Jim; daughters Andrea Johnson & Tracy Losser; son Chad Crombie; mother Martha Mazzocco; sister Marylu Steenbergen; brother John Mazzocco; stepsons J.P., Kevin, & Jeff Daily; and stepdaughter Meghann Stewart; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father, Dominic Mazzocco.
Donna was born in Big Spring, Texas and spent early years in Colorado, graduating from Gunnison High School. She later moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and for the last ten years resided in Richland, Washington. Donna was an avid lover of cards, travel, and fitness. She played cards routinely with family and friends, and was the consummate Texas Hold’em player and dealer. Before moving to Richland, Donna taught aerobics in Lake Havasu City for many years, managing fitness at several clubs. She inherited and applied a natural sports ability, competing in golf and tennis, and performing on a water ski team. In 2002 she was a member of the team that won the U.S. Tennis Association senior’s national championship. Donna spent the last two years in a tough struggle with cancer. In honoring Donna’s wishes, a celebration of Donna’s life will be held March 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Kennewick. In lieu of flowers, and in remembrance of Donna, her family asks that you please perform a random act of generosity for a friend, family member, or stranger.
You are in our prayers.
I am deeply sorry for your lose. Donna was a wonderful woman as I remember her. May she be in peace and no longer struggling.
I am not sure it is a fondest memory, but I do remember getting caught red-handed in toilet papering the house by her. And she found our running vehicle and took the keys. She laughed it off and gave them back after we cleaned up.
May you remember all the happy memories over the struggles of the last two.
Love you all.
I only found out about Donna’s passing recently, She was my best friend from Jr. High through High School in Gunnison. My prayers are with her family. She could touch everyone’s heart that just met her. Her memory will live on forever
I just returned from the Gunnison High School reunion where we learned of Donna’s passing. Everyone was greatly saddened. I remember Donna fondly in her cheerleader uniform cheering the Gunnison Cowboys to victory during our football and basketball seasons. Donna was very popular and had a lot of respect from her classmates.
Jim,
We were sad to hear of Donna’s passing. Remember the good times and the dances with her until you meet again. May God bless her and find her a place in Heaven with music.
Dave & Rosie
