Raymond Moses Abraham

Raymond "Ray" M. Abraham, 74, of West Richland, passed away May 29, 2008 in Richland. He was born May 20, 1934 in Carnegie, Pennsylvania to John and Minerva Abraham and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1961.

Faithful husband to Roberta "Bobbi" Benovic Abraham for 52 years, survivors also include daughters Lesley Abraham Rutz of Kennewick, WA and Raelynne Abraham of San Diego, CA; sons Jeffery Abraham of West Virginia and Chris Abraham of Okanogan, WA; grandsons Michael, Adam, AJ, Denton, Stephen and Benjie; granddaughter Alexis.

Ray is, to this day, called "Coach" by many 40- and 50-year-old men in Richland, as he coached Densow Drugs Little League baseball for at least 10 years, as well as the girls' softball team. He was the Luther League sponsor at Richland Lutheran Church for 20 years, and served as Sunday School teacher for many years.

Ray was known by many persons at Battelle Northwest Laboratories where he worked for 35 years, many of those years as Building Manager, prior to retiring in 1995.

Ray Abraham and his family have all experienced God in their lives. It is our firm and solid belief that with Jesus Christ as our anchor and our Savior, God has assured us that we will live with Him for eternity in a place so magnificent that words cannot describe it.

We have peace in our hearts, overwhelming love toward God for his faithfulness and everlasting love and we want all to know JESUS, who washes us clean as new-blown snow.

All Ray would want by way of tribute is that you accept Christ as your Savior and give God the praise and glory He so richly deserves. May God give each and everyone the assurance that Ray's life has just begun. To God be the glory.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, June 6, 2008 at Einan's Funeral Home, Richland.
