Marie E. Evans

Marie E. Evans, 89, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away August 11, 2008 in Richland, Washington. She was born December 8, 1918 in Speer, Illinois and lived in the Tri-Cities area for 48 years.

Marie was primarily a homemaker but also served for nine years as Secretary for First Christian Church, where she was a member. She served on the board at Union Gospel Mission for five years and was a volunteer at Tri-City Chaplaincy for two years, as well as a Hospice volunteer for years.

Survivors include son Jerry Evans and wife Deanna of Spanish Springs, Nevada; grandchildren Tiffany Harms and husband Don of St. Helens, Oregon, Corey Evans of Oregon City, Oregon, Troy Cowger of Tualatin, Oregon, and Ty Cowger of Lake Oswego, Oregon; great-grandchildren Nathan, Ashley and Logan Osborn of St. Helens, Oregon. Marie is also survived by her step-mother Agnes Evans, a resident of Wahoo, Nebraska, now 97 years old.

Preceding Marie in death are husband H. Dale "Doc" Evans, and sons Richard and Gregory Evans.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 17, 2008 at First Christian Church, 1921 S. Olympia St., Kennewick, Washington.
