Patricia E. Snyder
Patricia Elaine Snyder, mother, grandmother, great grand mother on August 11, 2008, the lord whispered in her ear that it was time to come home, so like a shooting star her soul took flight and soars to the heavens, which is where all angels return.
Patricia was born on August 22, 1928 to Ethel and Robert McIntyre in Los Angeles, California.
She found a love of the ocean and she became a Mariner Scout where she learned to sail. Patricia also found a love of reading at a very young age and when she had free minutes she was reading, becoming a more a part of the story, helping to solve each new mystery.
Patricia also had a gift for being very artistic, she would design fashions for her daughters' Barbie dolls and even a real mink stole, although her artistic skills did not end there. She took her love of flowers and the lessons she had learned from her mother, who made miniature furniture, and created Patricia's Gardens, a line of miniature flowers which became known on a international level. This not only kept her busy, but gave her husband Tom the chance to see the country traveling to new shows. Patricia also got her family into making her flowers by enlisting both her daughter Debra and, her niece Diane.
Patricia's great joys in the last few months were the visits and phone calls she shared with family. They always brought great joy to her heart and kept her smiling for days.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Ethel, her husband Tom, and her nephew James. Patricia is survived by her daughter Debra and husband Richard, her sons Gary Sagers and wife Sylvia and Scott Waring and wife Jennifer, granddaughter Meghan Cooper and husband, grandson Shawn Berglund, grandson Tony Sagers, and many great grandchildren. Patricia's family asks that instead of flowers that you make donations in her name to the Benton Franklin Humane Society.
The family will be holding a small gathering at her daughter Debra's home on August 13th for anyone who might want to come and share their memories.
