Sonia Roiene Youngs

Sonia Roiene Youngs, 69, of Richland, WA went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 25, 2008 at Kadlec Medical Center. She was born on September 27, 1938 in Yakima, WA to Joseph and Lydia Thomas.

Sonia met her future husband Dallas Lee Youngs while attending Kennewick High School and lived in the Tri-City area for 60 years. After high school she graduated from Columbia Basin College with her AA. Sonia retired from Westinghouse Hanford. She attended Bethel regularly and was part of the Beta Sigma Phi Society.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Sonia traveled to Hawaii The Big Island in 2001 with her daughters and grandchildren, and had a blast there and so did her family.

Sonia is survived by her daughters, Melanie Greg Seidel and Belinda Jeff Records both of Richland. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nicholas Meador, Amber Holland and Rina and Kaylinn Records. Her sister Arna Zook of Bellevue and brothers John and Gene Thomas of Yakima and Kennewick, plus numerous loving extended family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dallas Lee Youngs, father Joseph, mom Lydia and her sister Gloria.

A graveside service will take place on Saturday August 30, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland. A visitation will be held on Friday August 29, 2008 from 12:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Einan's Funeral Home in Richland.
