Janet Lou Perchalski 1934-2008
Our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and sister passed into eternal life on September 22, 2008 after a long courageous battle with lung disease. She will be greatly missed but we know she is in better place and is no longer suffering.
Janet was born to Henry and Anna Rau in Brainerd, Minnesota; the tenth of twelve children. They moved to Kennewick after World War II where Janet graduated from Kennewick High School in 1952. In 1953 she married a young Marine, Raymond Perchalski. Together they travelled the country during his years in the service and raised six children, eventually settling back in Kennewick after his retirement.
Janet was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Kennewick. She loved watching sports, particularly the Mariners and Dust Devils, but she most enjoyed spending time with her family.
Always devoted to her family, Janet is survived by her husband Raymond, daughters Elizabeth Mike Rogers, Elaine Keith Osborne, Laura Mills, and Karen Louis Jr. Cloy; sons Raymond Perchalski, Jr. and Michael Perchalski; grandchildren Genevieve Jack Green, Melonie Chris Soden, Christopher Hannah Osborne, Trisha Osborne, Justine Perchalski, Cameron Perchalski, Mackenzie Mills, Jevon Cloy, and Trevin Cloy; brothers Russell of California, Roland of Montana, Gerald of Washington; sister Barbara Wilson of Washington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Chapel in Kennewick at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 26, 2008. A private graveside burial will be held immediately following with a reception after at Dillon Hall at the church.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Joseph's Church.
