Glenda Jean Mitchell

Glenda Jean Mitchell, 61, passed away October 25, 2008 at her home in Richland, with her two sons by her side. She was born January 25, 1947 and lived in the Tri-Cities for 30. She was a member of the Tri-City Ferret Club.

Glenda had fond memories of growing up in Truckee, California, riding her horses, and was proud to watch her son Brad achieve his lifelong dream of graduating Marine Corps Recruit school and becoming a United States Marine.

Survivors include son Brad Bridges; son Craig Bridges; daughter-in-law Lori Bridges; grandson Matt Bridges; granddaughter Ashley Bridges; grandson Nathan Bridges. Preceding her in death are her parents, Gene and Nelda Stark.

  • Glenda was a sweet lady who I met when I moved to the Tri-Cities in 2000. We all had ferrets and met in her home for the club meetings. Glenda always had the animals well being at her heart despite her trying illness. I will miss her. May peace be with her family.

  • Glenda and I met through the Tri-Cities Ferret Club. It was a fun time helping place shelter animals in good homes and meeting other ferret owners and their charges. She was very devoted to seeing that ferrets had good homes and through the years became a wonderful friend. I will miss her.
