Peter Gary Hennemann
Peter Gary Hennemann, 65, of Benton City, passed away at home on December 22, 2008. He was born in Oakland, CA to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hennemann. The family moved to Minnesota for a short time, then traveled to the Tri-Cities when he was 8 years old, where his father was a fireman for Hanford. Peter grew up in Pasco and was a Pasco Bulldog football player. After he graduated he joined the Navy.
He became a carpenter for the 200 Hanford Site. He was part of the Carpenter's Union 1849 and was involved in the Chief Steward EZAC Safety Committee.
Peter's proudest moment was meeting and marring his bet friend Kathie. He loved to be outdoors and that was so much a part of him. Peter enjoyed fishing, hunting, and having his family and friends along his side. Especially every moment he could be with his loving wife.
He is survived by his wife Kathie Hennemann; mother Shirley Souza; children, Kim and David Hughes, Gary, Sharon and Jeff, Donna, Pete Jr. and Lilly Hennemann, Kalah Main and many other grandchildren. Sister, Joanne Tea; brother-in-law, Bob and Kim Blake; Aunt Peggy Royalty; cousins, Kenny Royalty, Kathy and Casey Law, Joey Tea and many nieces and nephews. Peter is also survived by all friends as close as family, especially Percy and Marion Stiles and Joe Kracht.
A memorial service will be held at Einan's Funeral Home on Saturday December 27, 2008 at 1:00pm.
I enjoyed working with Pete at Handford as a fellow carpenter for 20 plus years, he served well as a union steward and safety rep. May Gods love bring peace to family and friends at this time of grief.
Pete, I have lots of memories working with you out of locals 1849 and 2403. You were a great carpenter steward and always made sure we worked safe. Prayers out to the family.
