Ram Kumari Malhan, 73 of Richland, passed away on January 22, 2009 at Kadlec Medical Center. She was born on May 13, 1935 in Kartarpur, Punjab, India.
After arriving to Richland from India she worked hard alongside her husband Pran Malhan to establish her family. She is very proud of the success of each of her children and has considered that of her own personal success. Ram was very proud of the birth of her grandchildren and the quality time she was able to spend with them.
She is survived by her loving husband Pran Malhan; her children Poonam and Anil Behl, Rajiv and Monica Malhan, Shalini and Sunil Maini, Rakesh and Goldie Malhan. Ram is also survived by her grandchildren; Nitika and Soloni Behl, Ruhi, Natasha and Neha Malhan, Rahul and Bani Maini, Nikhil and Shikha Malhan.
She was preceded in death by her parents Barkat Ram and Preetam Dai Sekhri, her brothers; Raj Kumar and Ram Kumar Sekhri; her sisters Pushpavati Khosla, Kailash Dhavan, and Sham Kumari Seth.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 24, 2009 at 1:00pm at Einan's Funeral Home in Richland.
In lieu of flowers, please send contributions in memory of Ram Kumari Malhan to the Hindu Society of Eastern Washington.
Ram will be remembered fondly as a very beautiful, caring, patient and loving person.
We ae very sad to loosing our BehanjiMrs Malahan. Our payers and thoughts are with the family. We have many found memories with Behanji that will be linger in our mind forever. We loved and respected her very much and will miss her.

Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.
I am sorry about the loss of your loved one. words cannot describe feelings in a time like this. Many have found comfort in the Bible’s promises of seeing our past loved ones again such as at John 5 verses 28 and 29. Take care of yourselves and keep memories of your past loved one close.

Rakesh and Rajiv and family, So sorry to see you lost your Mom recently. It is very hard to lose a family member specially a parent, your mom. Our prayers are with all of you and your Dad and just know she is in a better place. Rakesh and Rajiv: I wish to express my sympathy to you and the whole Malhan family. I know how difficult it is to lose a parent. My prayers go out to all of you.
We are so sorry that Mrs. Malhan is no more with us. It is not only a big loss for Malhan’s family, it is also a big loss for the entire Indian community in Tricities.
She was a very loving and caring person. She will always be in our thoughts and prayers.
