“Miss Bernie” will always have a special place in our hearts. She had the most warm and beautiful smile. 14-years later, my son still talks about her. She was kind and loving and will be missed. Aloha, Miss Bernie!
I feel privelaged to of known Bernie for twelve plus years. She had a smile that would go for days. Her family was always her number one. She will be missed, ALWAYS. I love her and her family.
My most shared memories with Bernie was to see her bright shinny smile every day. We would steal away a few minutes every day while at work to talk about our beautiful children and grandchildren. Thank you for sharing the most sweet woman with me. I shall always remember Bernie! Donna, Nicole’s Mom
Bernie, you are now in the loving arms of Jesus. You smile and laughter will be missed. You lived life free and now you are laughing with the Angels.
Bernie always had a bright smile and a cheery hello for everyone. She will be missed by the Fluor employees at 1200 Jadwin building. I enjoyed talking with her about Hawaii, its culture and food, as my daughter and family live there. My heartfelt sympathy to Bernie’s family. Every time I think of Hawaii I will remember Bernie. ALOHA Bernie.
Bernie was an extraordinary gal. She made you feel like you were her very best friend the moment you met her. She was just a sweetheart and she will be and has been missed from the Jadwin Bldg. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
I don’t know of anyone who did not love “Bernie” as we called her here at the Jadwin Bldg. I had the pleasure of meeting her family briefly and they were just as delightful and loving as she. My prayers go to her family for peace during this difficult time.
We feel so blessed to have had Miss Bernie in our lives. She was an amazing, kind, generous teacher and friend. Her spirit will live on in all who were touched by her.

The few times I saw Bernie she had a smile and concern for her family and their growth and also for others. Thank you Bernie, Ross and Family for being there for each other and others.
To Mahia, Kaui, Kahea and the entire Kapololu family:
I knew Bernie through her girls, particulariliy Mahia and Kaui, they went to High School with my son Nicholas Devine.
My heart goes out to you girls and your father and family. Your moma was a “Sweetheart” and always wore a smile. Whenever I would see you girls out and about with your moma you always stopped to say “Hi”. Your moma had a beautiful spirit, that was passed down to each of you.
You girls are beautiful and had a great moma and I know you will miss her dearly. I pray you girls will hold on tight to your family and friends during this difficult journey and draw strength from them. May you know and feel Gods Love and Comfort through your challenges ahead. I pray His perfect peace to shine within and upon each and everyone of you.
Mahia and Kaui…if you ever need to talk or want to get together just call me okay. 521-4723. I love you and please take care of yourself and each other.
Blessings and Peace to you all.
In His grip ~Tina~
Just wanted to let you know I said some prayers for all of you today. God’s sweet bleesings and comfort to all of you, especially today.
Much love
The Kapololu Family, I was honored to have known Bernie and to have cared for her. I was blessed to have shared the last precious moments with her toward the end of a short lived life. I listen to her concerns as wife, that her husband Ross, her child hood sweat heart and the promise she made to walk the path of life together for the rest of her life, she would have to break that promise she had every intention of keeping. Her concerns were that she hoped that Ross could be able to walk that path alone with as little grief as possible until they would me again in haven.
As a mother she didn’t feel she had enough time with her lovely three girls Kaui, Mahia and Kahea to instill all the values that would carry them though life. Her heart felt disappointment that she wouldn’t have the opportunity to guide them to achieve their dreams and goals in her absents. Her dreams of her sharing her girls wedding day will never grace her physical presents, but I will keep my promise to remind them of her spiritual presents on that day. She had express her joy of being a new grandmother mother to Troy and the great pleasure in teaching him life lessons in the short time she had shared with him. In that little time she had created memories that she hoped would not go unforgotten. Bernie beauty in side and out has left an ever lasting impression on each and every person who has been blessed to have had the experience in knowing her. You will be missed, until we meet again rest in peace.
I hope it is some consolation to Bernie’s family to know how respected and loved she was here at 1200 Jadwin. We miss her very much.
