From Benton, City, WA, US | Born in San Diego, CA
Patricia “Pat” Marie Sporman
Patricia M. Sporman, born Nov. 7, 1948, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side, August 12 after a courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born in San Diego, CA to Jim and Bernice Swain. She grew up in West Seattle where she graduated from high school in 1967 and also where she met the love of her life, David Sporman. At the age of 18 she married Dave and this past Christmas Eve they celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary.
In 1980 they moved their family to Benton City where they raised two lovely daughters Becky and Kelly. Each married, Tim Becky & Mike Kelly and gave Pat her greatest joy, her grandchildren, Clint, Brooke and Zac.
Pat enjoyed the simple things in life; going to old car swap meets and shows with her husband, walks along the Oregon beaches, lunches with her best girl friends, and cooking with her family all around her talking about daily life.
Her funny wit, giving heart and endless hugs and kisses will be missed by so many. We love you mom, wife, aunt, sister and friend. You will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Shawn and brother Mike.
She is survived by her husband, daughters, brothers John and Joe, special niece Tina and several other nieces and nephew.
We would like to send a heart felt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Tri-City Cancer Center, nurses at the Tri-City Chaplain Hospice Care, and her close friends who supported her family through these difficult times.
Grandma:
I am going to miss hugging you and playing hot wheels with you. I love you so much.
To the family,
I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I cant say how sorry I am. My thoughts and Prayrs are with you.
Pat must be blamed for the beginnings of my chocolate addiction. I will never forget all of her homemade chocolate cakes with the BEST frosting ever. I loved visiting at the Sporman home. “Mrs. Sporman”s laugh, ever present smile and chocolate cake are forever memories.
Remembering one winter day, trudging thru the snow to arrive at the front door of your travel trailer to pick up Lisa. Upon entering it was so warm and welcoming, no wonder daughter Lisa loved to visit. Special thoughts are being sent your way to a very special family.
I will never forget the old softball days with the Benton City Merchants. The Bear Hut Days and seeing you out front at NRG. You grow apart from people over the years but never forget the ones who make a lasting impression on you, Pat you are one of those people.
I will always remember Pat as a fun, witty person to be around. I have many good memories of working with her at the bear hut. Even though I haven’t seen her for many years, every time I see a mustang I always think of Pat,and Dave.
She was a very special person. May Gods love be with you all to comfort and guide you through this difficult time. Rick and Sandy Stephens
Our sincere condolences to Dave, Kelly, Becky and the grandchildren.
May god bless and keep>
I am very sorry for your loss.
Dear Dave, Tim, Becky, Kelly, Mike
and children,
We are so sorry for your loss.
Pat was always so friendly and had a contagious smile.
We loved her laughter.
May God comfort your family.
Dave, Kelly and Becky – your Mom was truly my best friend – I loved her like a sister and I will miss her forever. She always told me her blessings were many – a wonderful marriage, two beautiful daughters and her joy at being Grandma to Clint, Brooke and Zac. Pat made me laugh, we had so much in common and I will miss our long talks. Her faith, and mine, sustain me and I know that she is at peace. Tom and I send our love – Jeri
Mom, I will miss you so much. I will carry on your love and values to my kids and their kids. My heart is sad you are gone from this earth but I know you are with grandma Bea, Mike, Shawn and the Lord now and that makes me smile. Love you mom, Becky
Mom:
You were always there when I needed someone to talk to. I am going to miss our lunches and talks the most. I love you. And I will see you again!!
Patty
Without you life will never be the same. I will cherish all our memories and miss all the thing’s we no longer can do together.
Patty I will love you forever.
Dave
