Angela Dee Steffeson
Angela was born February 7, 1974 to Ronald and Esther Gaines at Kadlec Medical Center. She passed away November 21, 2009 at Kadlec Medical Center at the age of 35.
Angela's family was always the most important aspect of her life. She was the "Peacemaker" of her family. She had a huge heart and showed compassion for all. Children and animals held a big place in her heart. She was always bringing home a stray animal and providing a safe place for many kids to play. Angela also enjoyed going to yard sales on the weekends and fishing as much as possible. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles and could do them in record time.
Some of her proudest moments include some of the awards she received in grade school, such as her blue ribbons in Track and Field and her President's Award for Physical Fitness. After high school, Angela worked hard for her LPN license. She went on to work as a nurse at Richland Life Care Center. Her most rewarding job was as a homemaker for the last five years.
Angela was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Gaines, her uncle, William Gaines, two nephews, and her grandparents.
Angela is survived by her mother and step father, Esther and Daniel Ganz; husband, Doni; four sons, David, Tyler, James, Johnathan; grandmother, Esther Hinks; great aunt, Juanita Smith; uncle, Robert Gaines; sister, Kelly Jason; brother, Ronnie J'Neane; brother, Jerry Kenda; sister, Catherine; brother, Michael Jasmine; brother, Tom; brother, Leslie Kirsten; brother, Bub, step brother Carl; step sister, Amber Roger; step brother, Jason Cris; step sister, Shevell; mother and fatherin-law, Kay and Madesto; brother-in-law, Jeff Kristie Duane and 21 nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Angela will be held Friday, November 27, 2009 at Einans Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00pm. Angela's services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 10:00am at Central United Protestant Church with a graveside service to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Angela's memory to Pet Over Population or the Benton Franklin Humane Society.
Angela was loved in many ways; her kids because she was always there, her husband because she knew what to say to make his day better, her friends because she helped in any way, and her family because she gave them joy in many ways. For those she knew, she found a way to touch their hearts in some special way. We love you always!
I’ve known Angie for the past 18 years. But the best memories and times that i have had with her has been since she has been together with Doni. She was a loving and caring individual, and I enjoyed the trips, fishing or just hanging out at their house having a good time. You will be greatly missed. I have known Angie all of her life. When I moved back here and moved in with her mom she acceped it as a fact of life. And we became friends as the years went by she became my daughter. She always had a smile on her face and kind thoughts in her heart. She will be missed very much.
Angie, I will remeber your kindness and generosity forever. I knew you always would be there for us if we needed a friend and that is such a rare quality. Every time I go fishing you will be in my heart and I will never forget you. You will be missed in so many ways that they cannot be named.
