Sandra Kay Lepinski
When someone we love passes away, we ache, but we go on. Our dear departed would want us to heal, after they are gone. Grief is a normal way to mend. The anguish and pain in our hearts; we need time to remember and time to mourn, before the recovery starts. Let's draw together to recuperate, as we go through this period of sorrow; let's help each other, with tender care to find a brighter tomorrow.
Sandra Kay Lepinski went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, November 10, at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, Washington. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born in Kansas City, MO on February 10, 1944, to Jack and Thelma Stafford. Sandy graduated from Richland High School in 1962. Sandy married the love of her life, Chester Lepinski, on February 13, 1965 after knowing each other for only 59 days.
Sandy worked for Kadlec Medical Center for twenty years as a Phlebotomist. She also devoted many hours to her children and husband.
Sandy enjoyed many things in life. She was a great cook, enjoyed sewing, going camping in the motor home, and taking care of her pug. Her latest enjoyment was cruising. She had been to Alaska, Hawaii, Caribbean, Panama Canal, Mexico, and Tahiti. Her next adventure was to go on the brand new cruise ship "Oasis of the Seas" and Disney World.
She is survived by her husband Chester, son Brian, daughter Brenda Everett, sister Linda Norwood, brother-in-law Darrell Norwood, niece Katrina Swanson Granbury, TX, nephew Khris Norwood Houston, TX, cousin Karen Schnell Spokane, WA, and cousin Judy Powell Lake Stevens, WA. She is also survived by her many friends. She is preceded in death by her father Jack Stafford, mother Thelma Stafford, and daughter Jackie Lepinski.
There will be a celebration of her life at Memories at Sunset Event Center on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 2:00 pm located on the beautiful grounds of Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family has requested that instead of sending flowers please make a donation to the Kadlec Medical Foundation for further research on Diabetes.

We share with you all the loss of Sandy.We had so much fun and enjoyed her friendship of 20 years. Our visits to Newport, MtHood,Silverwood ,Cannon Beach, La Conner,motor home camping, Hotel camping, Tent camping , visits at our house, vists at your home, Georges retirement party with no power, telephone vists, Hearing her adventures on Motor home trips and cruises. She was a honory Grandma to our Grandkids and loved to have pictures and storys of them. THATS A TRUE FRIEND. Sandy was a wonderful friend. Sandy and Jackie will always be in our prayers.

I never had the privilege of meeting Sandy. I knew her as my cousin’s wife and someone very special. She had to be special for Chet to have married her and loved her so deeply for so long. My prayers and thoughts are with the family at this time of loss.
The one thing I feel sorry for is that we were not able to meet again. Time had gone by since we met. Sandy, I know that you are with Jackie now. It won’t be long my dear until we will meet again. I hope you will be there to greet Uncle Paul & I when we arrive. Until we meet again.

For 44 years you have been the love of my life. I will miss you but knowing that you are in a better place and with Jackie makes it much easyer. You raised a woulderfull family for us. You gave 110% for everone that you worked for. The family had many fun trips and great holidays together. I will love you always and will join you when the Lord wants me. My depest thoughts and prayers are with you. The friendship all started in Newport OR when we were just walking around the RV resort when my Dad saw the sarcoidosis sign. And even if we have not seen each other it did not mean we were not thinking of you guys. We have lots of fond memories of Sandy and family. God Blees!!

Chet,Brian: I know your beloved wife/mother is looking down upon you, relieved from pain. I can picture her sitting watching your boat race’s, with a big grin on her face. I loved her stories of your last cruise. Cherish the memories, as that is what will keep you going, to remember Sandy and Jackie. You are in our prayers.
Brother Chet, Brian & Brenda, you are in our prayers & thoughts each day. Sandy was a beautiful, loving,thoughtful person that always put everyone first. My regret is that I did not stay in touch as much as I should have. She will be missed by many. I know she is at peace and is with Jackie.

Sandy was not only my cousin, but a friend. We had so many good times growing up together. Our mothers were sisters, but our fathers were best of friends. Oh the happy memories of those by gone days. We shared family trips to Missouri and South Dakota, berry picking times, and just plain fun times. Sandy has left us behind, but because of the blood of Jesus we to can reach eternity with Him and all our loved ones. May the Lord give Chet, Brian and Brenda strength as they travel this road. Remember that Jesus has you in His arms and will bring you comfort each step of the way. Sandy had strength and courage as she endured all those tough afflictions with grace. Dear Chet, Brian, & Brenda, We are so sorry for your loss. Toddi & I are not going to be able to make it to Sandy’s memorial, but our thoughts and prayers will be with you! We feel so fortunate to have been able to spend some time with Sandy in Chelan, and will never forget that special moment.

We have so many wonderful memories of Sandy on board our cruises over the past 15 years- it was wonderful to see her enjoying herself and her family & friends so much. We are so sorry for your loss. You have been such a wondeful family, always doing things together. We are so much better for having known Sandy and Jackie and find it hard to think they are gone. My thoughts and prayers are with Sandy’s family and friends. Sandy was a dear friend and ’62 classmate of mine. I will remember her as the very sweet and kind person she was.

Sandy had been fighting an uphill battle for quite awhile. She dearly loved her family and we know she was so proud of them all. She now is without pain and we grieve our loss but are grateful for the time we had with her and celebrate all she had blessed us with.
