Grandma Sue was an incredible woman, influential teacher and the best grandma. She turned every road trip into a game and somehow got us to learn! I will miss her stories, her laughter and her ability to turn any opportunity into a lesson. Grandma, I am glad you are reunited with Grandpa and Mom. I now have three incredible guardian angels. I will always love you.
To the family of my first grade teacher at Eastside elementary 1964seems like only yesterday she was telling me to get in my seat or taking me and another boy to the principals office for fighting in the lunch line, but after all these years I havent forgotten Mrs Griffith one of my favorite teachers.
Sorry to hear of Sue’s passing. I was Chaplain for Murat the year Charlie was Potentate. You might say I was Charlie’s Chaplain.
My wife Janet, and I have many wonderful memories of that year. Sue was attempting to influence Charlie to stop smoking. Charlie would remind me I as the Chaplain; therefore, I was NOT to tell Sue, if I saw him have a cigarette/and or cigarettes. We miss them both.

So sorry to hear of Sue passing. I have a lot of special memories growing up, she was like my second mom.
I had the pleasure of meeting Cathie’s mom, “Grandma Sue”, when she came for a visit to Washington.
She was soft spoken, caring and a very friendly lady to all of Cathie’s Mom friends.
You could tell that she had great love and pride for her family.
I knew she was going to be a very special lady because she raised such an amazing daughter.
Cathie, I know how much your mother meant to you. Remember that you have many friends surrounding you who care about you and love you.
You and your family are in my prayers.
Love, Colleen
Sue was a gracious First Lady of Murat Shrine and admired by all who knew her. Sue and I enjoyed many conversations about the books we both read. Jeff and I enjoyed our first year in the divan with both Charlie and Sue. Our sympathy to her family. She will be missed.
She did so much for this school system and community. She will be missed.
Sure am sorry and loved her

Eddie and I were sad to hear of Mrs. Griffith’s passing. Eddie used to practice w/his band @ their house and she was teaching @ Eastside when I was first grade. Our condolences to the family.
We enjoyed Sue so much. She had such a positive attitude and was just a pleasure to know. Charlie and Sue visited often at the Rolling Hills Shrine where we are members.I know that you have lots of wonderful memories of her. May God bless you all, Barb and Howard Malcomb
When I grow up I want to be just like Grandma Sue! I have seriously prayed to be like Grandma Sue when I am an old lady. Not only do we share a name, but I pray that I will also show Grandma Sue’s loving nature, agreeable personality, friendly demeanor and willingness to go with the flow! I first met Grandma Sue about 18 years ago. I am good friends with her daughter Cathie. Through the last two decades I have watched Grandma Sue and admired her innate goodness. That’s not something you can fake – it’s who you are. Many blessings to the entire Griffith family!
