ARLENE MARIE MORSE

Our loving and wonderful mother, Arlene Morse, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2009, at the age of 92. She was born on August 31, 1917 in Lyons, Kansas. She moved to the Tri-Cities in 1952 along with her husband and three children. Arlene and Vergil were married for 59 years until his death in 1997. For her final years she resided at Life Care Center of Kennewick, where she received excellent care from the nurses and staff.

She was a member of Northwest United Protestant Church where she enjoyed many lifelong friendships. Her hobbies included, cooking, knitting, and holding babies. Arlene was happiest at family gatherings where all her children and grandchildren would get together during the holidays. She will be greatly missed throughout our lives.

She is survived by her sons, Floyd Morse Sandy, Fred Morse Fe, and daughter, Colleen Goakey Ed. Her grandchildren, Dana Montgomery, Laura Rupert, Edward Montgomery, Shannon Waldo, Karen Postalwate and Nancy Morse; and 10 great-grandchildren who will miss their Gigi very much. Preceded in death are her husband, Vergil and daughter-in-law, Dorolea Morse.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00p.m., Monday, December 21, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland, Wa. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice or Northwest United Protestant Church, Richland, Wa.
