Owen Patrick Grant 1942-2009

Owen Oney was born in Pasco, WA to Stephen and Margueritte Grant on March 21, 1942. He passed away peacefully December 30, 2009, surrounded by his loved ones. Owen attended St. Patrick's school and church, serving as an alter boy and later attended Pasco High School.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara, his four children; Angie Mike, Cary Angela, Jennifer Lance and Bethany Chris ; sister, Patsy; brothers, Steve, Jerry and special brother-in-law Jerry Parker and his Auntie Nita. Owen is also survived by his grandchildren Jon Chloe, Zane, Jace Sam, Abi Josh, Christina, Jessica, Jaden, Jaremy, Ashlee, Jamee, Maci, E.J., Tali and Halee, and the newest special editions, his great grandchildren, Marlee Jean and Ryan Zane, both born just this year. Oney will also be remembered lovingly by his many special nieces and nephews, his many friends and among them his life long best friend, Billy Wilkins.

Oney's quick wit and mischievous sense of humor will be greatly missed by all that knew him and to know Oney was to love Oney. He was never happier that when surrounded by family, whether enjoying time with them at the family cabin in Republic, WA or simply spending time with them at home. He was forever the Peacemaker, and was infinitely patient with his children and grandchildren.

Special thanks to Dr. James Leedy and his staff for the loving care they provided during Oney's extended illness.

The memories you created for us, Dad, will live in our hearts forever.
