Trueline Joan Taylor
01/17/1942 — 12/21/2009
From Richland, WA, US | Born in Pryor, OK
Trueline Joan Taylor
Trueline Joan Latting Taylor passed gently to her eternal home at the Hospice House in Kennewick, WA. believing with the hymn writer who wrote, "Jesus Led Me All the Way."
Born January 17, 1942, in Pryor, OK, Trueline grew up, however, in Hood River, OR, then moved with her family to Richland, WA in 1951. In 1960 Trueline graduated from Columbia High, and then in 1966 graduated Northwest Nazarene College University NNU, Nampa, ID, with a degree in Applied Voice. The summers of 1962 and '63 she traveled singing throughout the northwestern US for NNU in two different quartets.
June 28, 1964, Trueline married Paul W. Taylor. They lived in Nampa, ID, Bremerton, Richland and Tacoma, WA, Pasadena, CA, Anchorage and Juneau, AK, raising the four wonderful children they were blessed with: James, Matthew, Kamala, and Amy. Her greatest joy was watching her children grow.
She served the Lord "in the middle of everything" as she was fond of saying, through her extraordinary cooking: for her family, for the governor of Alaska as Asst. Chef at the governor's mansion in Juneau, and for daycare and elementary school children. She sang for the Lord's glory, particularly with her husband Paul, for weddings, retreats, conferences Cannon Beach Conference Center, revival services, memorial services and more. She was passionate about helping those in need with food, clothing, and household things. Through gardening and giving; through making dolls, teddy bears, and quilts; through "thrifting" and finding -- all during her life she shared everything she had with great joy.
Trueline is survived by her husband, Paul; son James and Merredith Fletcher Taylor grandchildren Austin and Emma; son Matthew Taylor grandchildren Riley and Garrett; daughter Kamala Taylor; daughter Amy Taylor & Karl Ronfeld. Also by her father, Truel "TC" Latting; her only sister, Jan Latting & Ernie McNaught; nephew Chris McNaught; niece Susan McNaught & Steve Butkus grand niece Janae and grand nephew Braeden.
Like her mother, Rena Latting, who died Dec. 19, 2001, and her father "TC", she lived a steadfast life, committed to her Lord, her family and her church. As Trueline "bloomed where she was planted" in every place and season, the fragrance of the Lord she loved and served has remained.
Friends and family are invited to her memorial service Saturday, January 9th at 2 pm. The service will be led by her son James assisted by Rev. Steven Fletcher at the Richland Church of the Nazarene, 2500 Jericho Rd., Richland, WA. 99352 Ph: 509.627.0759
Memorial contributions may be made in Trueline's name to: Richland Church of the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries.

Paul, James, Matt, Kamala, Amy and families:
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Trueline. She was a Godly woman who always made us feel welcome the few times we were blessed to be with her.
We know what a bittersweet time this is for you. How difficult it must be to say goodbye to your wife, your mother, your grandmother, your sister, your aunt. But what joy to know that she spend Christmas with Jesus!
We continue to pray for all of you and will be with you in spirit on Saturday.
Much love,
Eric and Rhonda
Dearest Paul and family,
I am truly sorry to hear of your loss but am rejoicing in the fact that she is home with our father in heaven and that someday we will also be sharing that glorious reunion with our father God.
Trueline has touched my life from the very first day I met her in Bremerton. How I have enjoyed hearing you both sing, she is singing in heaven now.
God Bless you Paul and family. Love Pat
Hi Paul – Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Losing someone as special as Trueline is just plain hard – and definitely not what you bargained for. Take care of yourself and each other. I find that eases some of the pain and empty feeling before life starts looking like a future you actually want to look forward to. If I was there, I would give you a big, long hug – so here’s one coming to you through cyberspace. Always your friend, Kim Martin
Dear Paul and family,
We mourn with you the loss of Trueline, but we rejoice that she is at home with the Lord she loved so much. We’re unable to attend the memorial service, but we will continue to lift you all in prayer. Trueline was a dear friend, and we will miss her greatly.
Dear Paul, James, Matt, Kamala & Amy,
We are so sadden by Trueline’s passing. She was indeed a special lady that touched so many people with her wonderful spirit and voice.
God bless you all and we will continue to pray for you during this time of adjustment.
With love,
John & Sharon

My Dear Friends;
Please know I care and share in your loss. Trueline was my good friend and confident. Her passing leaves a huge void.
To know Trueline was to love her. God sent her into my life during a very difficult time. She was an anchor of strength and stability. Trueline gave of herself without reservation and made those around her feel loved and ever so important. Her gentle smile will be remembered always.
God Bless you as you move through the days ahead. God will lead your way.
Dear Paul, I was deeply saddened to hear of Truelines passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I can honestly say that I was a better person for knowing Trueline.
Dear Paul and family,
I am truly saddened to learn of Trueline’s passing. I loved her sense of humor, her beautiful voice – she was a warm and loving woman of God. I will always remember you and her singing “It is Well with My Soul.” What a blessing she was.
Paul and Family,
This is an Irish prayer sent to you from the Del Grosso’s family:
Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there… I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow…
I am the diamond glints on snow…
I am the sunlight on ripened grain…
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of gentle birds in circling flight…
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry—
I am not there… I did not die…
Paul,
Go n-eírí an bóthar leat.
May the road rise with you.
Paul and family:
Judy ad I want to express our sincere condolences to you at this difficult time of Trueline’s passing. She was always so friendly and positive. As an NNC quartet member in 1962 at a District Assembly in Montana, she helped me decide to enroll at NNC. I will always thank her for that. And your kids coming to NNC later and singing in my choir–I feel blest in knowing you. Thanks for coming to the Hymns of Thanks rehearsal last year. You would have enjoyed our performance on Nov. 22, 2009. Two pieces stand out: “Softly and Tenderly…”come home” and “Lead Kindly Light”-especially the verse “so long thy power has blest me,sure it still will lead me on” Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you, and may the Lord be with you all.

Paul,
We were so saddened to learn of Trueline’s passing. Trueline had a beautiful voice – she sang at our wedding in Walla Walla nearly 46 years ago – but her spirit and smile were even more beautiful. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Dear Paul and family,
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. It was our desire to be with you at the celebration of Trueline’s life today but, as you probably know, her “brother” Bill is seriously ill today. The two of them had a special relationship and he has a special relationship with you, Paul. Trueline was a wonderful lady and we are thankful and blessed to have known her. We have wonderful memories of time with her and she will be missed by us. We will meet again someday in heaven.
We love you all!
Donita
Dear Friends and Family,
Trueline spread sunshine wherever she was. Please accept my gratitude for taking time to share your memories and feelings about Trueline on this Guest Book for others to see.
No more pain, no more wheelchairs, no more leg and ankle cramps, she can sing again, she can walk and talk with her Mother. Trueline moved gently from this world to her Heavenly home at her decision — a lot to be thankful for.
Trueline was so special to our family. When my dad passed away, she helped to price and sell all the antiques. She asked for nothing in return. She was so willing to use what God had given her for others. I loved singing with her in the Bremerton Nazarene choir and ladies group. We will miss her.
Dear Paul, Here I am, a voice from the past. You knew me as Ralph Richards’ wife, Judy. Trueline’s name just came to my mind today and so sorry to find these results. She is with many she loved. My son Chris died 3 1/2 yrs ago from cancer. So many people to look forward to seeing again.
I loved the times we shared. I have pix from the beach in Cali and remember our little boys at Disneyland.
Love to you. I know Trueline is with God.
