Betty Lou Baker
Betty Baker passed on to be with our Father in Heaven on January 16, 2010. She was born on June 12, 1931, in St. Louis, Missouri to Tim and Marian Courtway.
Betty later moved to California and married her husband, Harry Clayton Baker. Together they had three daughters who reside in Richland, Washington; Marian Akers, Melody Carder and Melinda Baker. Betty had 9 grandkids; Candy Hossele, Harry Akers, Anthony Akers, Rick Henderson, Tim Henderson, Jesse Carder, Shannon Langston, Timalee Owen, Scott Owen. Betty was also blessed with 14 great grandchildren; Jordan Garberg, Isaac Akers, Lesley Akers, Brendan Akers, Hailey Akers, Avigail Akers, Easton Akers, Starlin Carder, Cheyna Langston, Felicia Langston, Jessica Langston, Krista Langston and Charlie Langston.
Betty enjoyed being with her family and especially loved playing a mean game of Yahtzee and Bingo with her family and close friends.
There will be a celebration of her life on Wednesday, January 20th, at 3 pm, at her home on 42 Nuclear Lane, Richland, WA for family and close friends.
I only got to have the privilege of getting to know and speak with my great grandmother. She was always pleasantly surprised and joyful to here from us. And I will always remember the warmness of tone she had talking to me and our conversations, that we shared. I wish I would have been able to actually meet her face to face before she left us.
Every so often it would just be Grama and I at her place and I would get to hear her stories without interruption or her being corrected by someone. Seeing her get tickled at herself always made my heart smile. Love you Grama
For a long time me and my grandmother were not very close. but for the past 6 years we started to spend more time together and started to grow a bond that nobody could ever take away. she was the strongest women i have ever met in my life. Also one of the smartest. Grandma i will miss u very much it makes me happy to know u are not suffering anymore you are in a great place and i know u will forever be watching over your family! We all Miss you. to the Greatest women alive. i love you very much. You will forever be in my Heart.

first off grandma betty is a soldier of life.she will be missed dearly she wass a strong person who would always make u laugh at her jokes.even at times when she was grumpy she was still funny n cute i love her with all my heart n will miss her more than anyone ive ever lost.the only thing that keeps me going after her passing away is knowing she is with people that meant alot to her n will take care of her n look after her.not that the strong lady needs looking after noone was ever crazy enough to mess with her.lol i was very proud of her n her soldier ways she will be missed dearly by all anyone who knows her knows she has lived the life.i love you grandma n will have you in my thoughts 24/7 i miss you very much already.this is the one thing in my crazy life that i will never forget.i love you n r.i.p
