Our beloved Fredrick Alexander Miller, age 78, passed peacefully into the Lord's presence on April 21, 2010 at Kadlec hospital in Richland after a long battle with heart and kidney ailments. Fred was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Lillian and Alex Miller on Feb. 5, 1932. He graduated from Lyman, Nebraska High School in 1949. He married the love of his life Betty Van Winkle on June 22, 1952 in Lyman, Nebraska. They gave birth to seven children, including two sets of twin boys, while living in the Lyman, Nebraska area. In January, 1965, Fred, Betty, and their children moved to Othello, WA to farm with brother Ken Miller and family. In the following years, brothers Wilbert, Bob, Clarence, and father and mother Alex and Lillian also moved with their families to the Othello area. In 1978, Fred received the "Farmer of the Year" award from the Othello Conservation District. Fred was a past member of the Lion's club, Moose, and Elk's, and was an Adams County Fire District Commissioner. Fred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, son, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will try to live in the example that he set for us. Fred is survived by wife Betty Miller; children - Fred Jr. wife Beverly, Deanna Chapman, David, Don wife Jackie, Ron wife Susan, Larry wife Kellie, and Garry; brothers Ken wife Zelma and Wilbert wife Sue, 19 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
