Raymond L. Clark
Raymond L. Clark was born in Prosser, Washington on June 4, 1919, at his grandmother's house. Ray lived in Hanford, Washington where he attended grade school through high school. He attended Washington State University in Pullman for one year.
Ray served in the Army Air Force during World War II as a Master Sergeant, functioning as a Line Chief servicing P-38 aircraft. After leaving the service, Ray worked at Picatti Brothers in Yakima, Washington as an electrician, where he continued to work for Picatti Brothers his entire working life until his retirement.
Ray married the love of his life, Sarah Alice Clogston on August 24, 1952. They shared an incredibly happy and full life together - hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling and visiting family. As the oldest of the six brothers, Ray held a special place in the hearts of his brothers, their children, grandchildren, and extended family members. In June 2001, Ray and Sarah moved to Richland to be closer to their extended family.
Ray's cherished wife predeceased him on January 23, 2010.
Ray is survived by four brothers and their extended families, Bennett Clark and Walter Clark of Richland, Jack Clark of Kent, Steve Clark of Leavenworth, and sister-in-law Bette Clark and family of Richland. He is also survived by Sarah's niece Celia Dunford and her family of Portland.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Prosser's Cemetery at 1601 Paterson Road. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the charity of your choice.
Ray was special, he will be missed. However, there is joy knowing he’s with Sarah once again. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
It was sure a pleasure knowing Ray and cutting his hair while he lived here in the Tri Cities. He was sure a good talker. He will be missed.
