David Joseph Draze
David J. Draze, 95, passed away, peacefully at home in Richland, on June 2nd, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born and raised in Michigan, the third of nine children of Julian and Louisa Draze. One sister Muriel Pawielski Tom survives.
He served his country in WWII. While in the service he met and married Jeanette Regimbal. They were married 58 years until her death in 2000. They had six children; Richard deceased, Theodore, Cheri Stensland Glenn, Michael Dianne, Patrick, and Denise Mead. He had 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Countless nieces and nephews and their families, and his companion of eight years, Angeline Yates, also survive him.
He lived in Alaska for 20 years, where he hunted, fished, climbed mountains, and was a bush pilot. He had many occupations, most involved with the construction and operation of power plants. He was an outgoing, fun-loving man, who always had a story to share. You could count on lots of laughter when he was around. He was always happy to lend a hand when needed. All who knew him loved him.
The funeral will be held Saturday, June 5th at 10:30am at Christ the King Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice at the Chaplaincy.
Hi. Its been a long time but Dave was one who stuck in the mind. He was a good and crazy friend to my dad, Carl Sand. Crashing on sand bars in his airplane and rowdy hunting trips were the norm between them, and the party house in Eklutna, Alaska was pretty busy with them, too. He had a good family and life. God Bless. Karen
Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Wish I could be with you, but distance is the issue. Ted, Cheri, Mike, Denise, Pat, and Angie-my prayers are with you. I hope our paths will cross in the near future. I will always cherish the times we spent togeher and all the stories your dad could tell, we shall love him always.
Love Anita and all

The company delightful, stories and laughter beyond description, and of course Uncle Dave contributed with humor and stories of his lifes adventures. He has now made it into Saint Hood! He really din’t have far to go! His memory will be with those who knew him. Uncle Daves smile was contagious. God Bless You All.
