  • To Alice’s Family,

My sincere sorrow for the death of your loved one.

Alice and I first became acquainted through League. It was a time when researched opinions mattered.Alice was always fair, never selective, though I am sure she had her own strong personal thoughts.

My next meeting with her was in the Women’s Commission at Central Church. We had great fun, just serving others in our own church and striving to serve those less fortunate in other communities and parts of the world.

Book Club was another connection: She loved to read, and bibliophiles need to stick together. We had Christmas meeting at her house. I loved the packages under the family tree, which were “wrapped” in recycled boxes.

She was a great lady and I will miss her.

I will not be able to attend her service, but my heart will be there.

    Blessings, Pat Jonson
