  • You were always a good friend and a great soldier! You died way too young! The Lord’s Army has gained one hell of a fine troop and somehow I know that the food in heaven will be a whole lot better from this point on! Take care and God bless you!

  • It is with great sorrow that I learned of Brother Woodbury’s passing. He and Pat were a great addition to the Richland Stake of the LDS Church, he serving for a number of years on the High Council. His testimony of Christ was unwavering and in conducting the affairs of the stake I always paid especial attention whenever he spoke because of his wise counsel and wisdom. His talks on Sundays in ward Sacrament Meetings were inpirational and powerful. My best wishes go out to Pat and his family.

  • We are sorry to hear of Bruce’s passing and pray that the Lord will be with his family and friends. I will always remember his loud motorcycle warning Ben and I of his returning home from work. I will remember his patience as a quorum advisor with a naive quorum president me and a “lively” class. We couldn’t have had a better neighbor. He will be missed.

  • I am very saddened to learn of Bruce’s passing and wanted to let the family know just how much he was thought of and apprciated by those who worked with him at J.R. Simplot. I worked with Bruce on several projects and will always remember his quick wit and sense of humor, as well as, his expertise on food and processing. A terrific individual who will be missed. God Bless you Bruce.

  • Pat and family, I am shocked and saddened by the passing of Bruce. I remember Bruce so fondly as a coworker here at Simplot. We shared many, many laughs. One of many fond memories I have of Bruce was back in early 1992 when I was dating my husband, I remember Bruce telling me I was going to marry Curt and I said “no, we’re just friends”….guess Bruce knew better than me back then. Bruce also helped me practice my singing for my wedding…I would sing to Bruce as practice and he would stand their – red faced – but such a trooper. There are so many stories to share but to suffice it to say, he was such a great guy to be around. Again, my condolences.

  • From the few times I met Brother Woodbury, whom I know as “Ben’s Dad” he seemed a steady and solid soul. Much of his great insight and good advice given to Ben, was passed from son to friend in conversation and I have always appreciated it. I know how much Ben and his family love and respect him and know he is a great man. Brother Woodbury thank you for the great example.

  • Sis. Rex and I are very saddened at hearing of Bro. Woodbury’s death, especially coming so soon after your miraculous story, Sis. Woodbury, of surviving your heart attack and the events surrounding that. During a short time on the Stake High Council, I remember distinctly several times that Bro. Woodbury gave us such wise counsel, both practical and spiritual. Our hearts are very sad and the words “our life, as a dream, our time, as a stream, glides swiftly away” seem to ring in my ears as I think on Bro. Woodbury passing. May God Bless you, Sis. Woodbury and family, with His comfort and peace that come from that testimony of the resurrection that Bro. Woodbury had. Sincerely, Bro. and Sis. Rex.

  • Dear Woodburys,

What a terrible shock to all to learn of Bruce’s passing! We count ourselves as blessed to have traveled a bit of life’s path with Bruce and his family. “Woodbury stories” will live forever in our hearts as fondly as the memory of the twinkle in his eye and the lilt in his voice as he told them. Thank you for sharing such a faithful and gentle man with us. May you be blessed with the peace that passeth understanding. Our love and prayers are with you – Steve and Kathi and family

  • To the entire extended Woodbury family: I would like to express my condolences on the loss of Bruce, who was a classmate of mine @ Logan High and Logan Jr. High. I met him the first class of my first day of junior high, and we remained friends throughout our time @ LHS & LJHS, and @ USU before his mission. I remember Bruce as being a very detailed person, one you could rely on, with a wry sense of humor. I am saddened at his passing, but take solace in knowing he was a faithful servant of our Father in Heaven, and a valiant member and leader of the LDS church wherever he lived. I know Bruce will be greatly missed; I hope the Lord will comfort all of you as you lay him to rest.

  • Dear Pat and family, We are so shocked and saddened to learn of Bruces’ passing. Too young, too soon. Too good a man. I guess Heavenly Father needed just his special talents and goodness for a new assignment elsewhere. Our hearts go out to you all. May you find solace in knowing how many lives he blessed in his allotted time. With love from Dave and Janis

  • My sympathies to the Woodbury family. I am a McCain business associate from his time at Othello. This may seem kinda funny but I think of him as the inventor of the mini Tobasco bottle. Some where a few years back he once told me in his military career he was a member of a team that developed the “Tiny Tobasco bottle” for MRE’s. I see those bottles now and then, they always remind be of Bruce and likely will for a long time to come. He told a funny story now and them. I am saddened by the passing of such a fine person. Heaven gained another deserving spirit. Our loss, their gain. Hope to see him again someday.

For this we too take solace. May Heaven open the way before you and may you know of your Caldwell’s families support for you.
