Grace Elizabeth Wallace
Grace Wallace passed away peacefully at age 95 in Tacoma, Washington on July 25. Grace was the last of the Tallman family who resided at the berry farm located on South Hill in Puyallup, Washington. She will be missed by her loving family.
Grace graduated from Puyallup High School and married the love of her life, Chet Wallace, in 1936. She was a homemaker and her family was the center of her world. She was an avid bowler, loved playing bingo, visiting her family, and knitting. She had a great sense of humor and a wonderful laugh that always brought a smile to our faces.
Chet and Grace moved to Richland, Washington during the 1940's as Hanford Boomers where Chet was a career fire fighter and they raised their five children. They played an important and active role in their children's and grandchildren's lives and enjoyed trips to Hawaii, Alaska, and Mexico in their retirement. They remained in Richland until Chet passed away in 1989, soon thereafter Grace returned to the Puyallup area, which she always called her "home".
Grace is survived by her children Arlene Towne of Tacoma,; C. Dee Wallace of Sierra City, California; Ronald Wallace Naomi Bloom of Fort Myers, Florida.; Dennis Wallace Sandy of Redmond, Oregon, and Randy Wallace Deanna of Hawaii. She is also survived by an impressive 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were Chet Wallace, Vicki Towne, granddaughter, her parents Bertha and Herman Tallman and five brothers and two sisters.
A celebration of her life and a graveside entombment will be held September 5th at 11 am at Einan's Funeral Home in Richland, WA. Thank you to the staff of Living Life Care Center, and Multicare Hospice. Donations may be made to Multicare Hospice, Tacoma, WA.
I love you grandma! You will be forever in our hearts. I miss you very much, but I know you are with grandpa where you belong. Together again!
