Michael is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Betty; two daughters Amy and Barbara; sons-in-law Whit Persell and Kevin Gustafson; and grandchildren Jessica, Jack, Jordan, and a new grandchild on the way. Michael was a strong, kind man who loved his family with his whole heart. His guitar music led many memorable family gatherings. Mike and Betty enjoyed many wonderful adventures together. He also enjoyed golf, fishing, and weekend drives. Michael will be deeply missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know his love and friendship.

From the day I started courting your daughter you treated me like your own son, gave that look of pride when we bought our first house, to the joyfull memories playing golf together… You will be dearly missed. Your son Kevin
Dearest Betty and family, my heart goes out to all of you in your loss of Mike. Betty, from our many conversations at work, I know how much you love him and what a close and loving family you all are. When we lose one of our loved ones, we are so fortunate to have our precious memories to help us through the hurt. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God bless.
Mike was a great neighbor in Martha Lake, lots of great memories from those days, I am sorry for the loss.
So very, very sorry for your sudden loss Betty, Barbara and Amy.
Worked with Mike for nearly 19 years at Hos Bros. Construction. I’ll always remember a kind and good hearted man. When one works side by side for so many years, you expect to occasionally hear bits or pieces of their familial discord. Not so with Michael, I never heard anything from him other than pure praise and pride in his family. I’ve always respected him for that. We’ll miss his “famous” salmon ball at Christmas too.
Many of us at Crowley who worked with Mike many years ago still remember him fondly. He was a lot of fun to work with. We all still remember his daily lunchtime call to Betty and how we used to tease him. Our deepest sympathy to all the family.
