Mrs. Pigge was such a wonderful Christian lady and I enjoyed getting to know her for the many years I was school friends with Darris. Darris and I both went to Spaulding Elementary, then Carmichael Middle School, and then Richland Columbia High School. Darris and I maintained our friendship throughout School and I sure enjoyed sharing fried rice with Mrs. Pigge after Sunday Church Services!
Rest Easy Mrs. Pigge she sure touched alot of lives when she opened up her home to so many children!

I delivered “meals-on-wheels” for some time to Mrs. Pigge and she was so joyful when she greeted me each day at the door. Quite a lady . God Bless her soul.
I love you, Big Sister, and will certainly miss you. But now that you have joined Uncle Bob, Bubba, Mama and Daddy, how happy you must be. So, rest well, my dear; you fought a good fight and have run your race. Karen, a very special thank you from her nieces and nephews in California, Mississippi and Wisconsin for taking such good care of her and for assisting us in speaking with her just recently. I smile when I think about you saying how peaceful she would be when looking at the picture I sent her of Mama and Daddy. In all things, truly God is good.
Big Sister, we were deeply saddened to receive word of your passing. However, we find joy in knowing you are now at rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Being our father Joseph Ladner’s only sister, you were a special aunt to us. We love you dearly but realize God loved you best. Our prayer is that God’s grace and mercy will strengthen your family members and friends in the Richland area, as they also mourn your passing. May God bless and keep each of you. submitted on behalf of Oscar, Joe, Evelyn, Nathaniel, Margaret, Deborah, Michael, Lisa … your nieces and nephews in the Ladner Family
Darris, I never had a chance to meet your beloved mom.
I do though know how much you cared, loved and respected your mother, after working with you the past six years.
Our condolences to you, Kelly and your family.

Dear family of Louella,
I knew your mother, grandmother, when I was a child in Richland. She helped my mother, Maxine Worley, at our home. She was without a doubt the sweetest, kindest, and warm woman I had ever known. One of my brother’s baseball fields was across the street from Louella and Bob’s house. I loved it when a game was there and I could go to Louella’s home. I remember clearly when Darris came. Oh, Louella loved that baby. I believe my brother has stayed in contact with Louella all these years. My best to your family. I cannot imagine what a loss this is to you. I am thankful that Louella came into my life a long time ago. I have never forgotten her. Bless you. Darris, you had a lovely mother. Jamie Worley Hills
I remember Mrs. Pigge from when she use to frequent Arelene’s Flowershop in the 1960. I met her only a few times. What a delightful lady she was. When I was in the service she always asked about me and mentioned me in her prayers. God bless her. My condolences to her family.
