  • Auntie Sharon and family, while it saddens us to know that Uncle Billy is no longer with us, we are comforted to know that his struggles with sickness and suffering are no more.

I pray that you will find comfort in the presence and care of our loving Heavenly Father and that you are surrounded by family and friends who will lavish you with love and laughter.

  • Sharon,Carl, Mike, Edwina, Kathy, Wendy:

It is painful and with a heavy heart that I send this message of condolence to you and to your family.

Billy grew up with me as we were one of the “Few and Sportsmen” kids! We shared many great times together growing up and it was a fantastic era. Our prayers are with you and we will keep our arms around “Wina and Kitty” here in Indiana.

    God Bless you.

    Sincerely,

    Albertine

  • Billy~you will be missed so much-you have gone too soon…I will never forget your smile, sense of humor, and that twinkle in your eye! You were always such a gentleman when asking for a records check or a copy of a report. I so enjoyed just talking with you, you had such integrity, and a kindness about you that will live in my memories of working with you-it was truly my pleasure to have known you-may God wrap his arms around you-and I look forward to seeing you again sometime at your 10-22 for code 7 !

  • Billy — I will always remember some of the DUMB STUFF YOU DID — I hope mama thumps your head for taking the alarm clock from Hayward or Carl’s pillow’s at Christmas so you could be the first one up; for running me around with bloody squirrels from your hunting trips with daddy; from letting my rabbit out in the yard chasing him until I would scream for mama — you were bad — but you were my my brother and I am going to miss you and our antics and our phone calls and our jokes. I love you. Wina.

  • I’m just a few months younger than Jake Wade and I used to tease that I was glad he came out to shoot so I could have someone to beat. Altho as often as not his would be the better score. We miss you Jake Wade, Happy Trails and don’t squat with your spurs on. Your friend, Skyline Curly

  • Billy, I enjoyed working with you at Santa Ana PD and you were one of the most level headed, nicest guys around. I will never forget you and your pipe. You were a true asset to SAPD and those that worked with you missed you when you retired and we will see you in the big roll call in the sky. To his family…..thank you for sharing him during his time at SAPD, it is not an easy job for a family to worry about.

  • Billy was one of the nicest men I’ve had the pleasure to meet – period. It was because of CAS that our life paths crossed. He was a shining example of a Cowboy Action Shooter! He always had a hug and smile for me…and a joke to make me laugh. Always. I have fond memories that I will treasure. He will always have a special place in my heart and in my life. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. His CAS family will miss him. Rattlesnake Gulch is a better place for having had him in our midst. Happy Trails, Jake Wade.

    *hugs*
