Paul Emerson Alley June 26, 1929 - June 7, 2011

Passed away following a brief illness at his home in Richland, WA just shy of his 82nd birthday surrounded by family.

Paul was born to Robert and Helen Alley in Burbank, CA and grew up in Lebanon, Oregon. He graduated from Oregon State University in 1951 with a bachelor of science in Business Technology - Business Administration. Shortly afterwards he moved to Richland to start his 41 year career, working for Hanford and retiring from Westinghouse.

Paul met Ruth Valentine Young at a dance in Richland and they married September 26, 1953 at Christ the King Catholic Church.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bobby, Jack and Lee, and sister Patty Smith.

Paul is survived by his wife Ruth, 9 children – Greg Alley Kathy, Teresa Alley, Denise Bryant Mark, Kevin Alley, Helen Alley, Paula Alley Loyd, John Alley Kendra, Kathy Payne Keith, Mary Smith Roosevelt, 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, his sister Helen Bellinger Bob and brother Tom Alley Marceil of Lebanon, OR, sister in-law Margaret Burns Leslie of Stayton, OR and many nieces, nephews and other cherished relatives.

A viewing will be held at Einan’s Funeral Home on Thursday June 16 at 5:00 PM followed by a Rosary at 6 PM. A Catholic funeral service will be held Friday June 17 at 11 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church followed by graveside services at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Richland.

Dad was steadfast in his Catholic faith and an avid sports fan!
