We knew Dale when we attended Evergreen Christian Center located at Evergreen High School in 1978. I met my wife there and Dale married us in my parents back yard that same year. Dale was a very kind and accepting counselor. We loved him alot and are sorry for the family’s loss but joyful for his trip home. We will see him again some day!
Meravine, Eric, Todd, and Jeff – My heart is hurting for your loss. Dale was such an amazing man of God. His eyes were totally on his Savior. The impression he made on me will last a long time. I am praying for God’s peace and grace for you and your children during this challenging time.
Dear Meravine,Todd,Jeff,Eric and all of your grandchildren, We are sorry to hear of your loss. Dale accomplished great things, all in the name of God. He mentored us, during our trials and encouraged me to buy The New Inductive Study Bible. As I did and am reading from it this morning. I also picked up a list of Kay Arthur’s study guides, he had written down and encouraged me to share them with my daughter Jessica. That is and has been a great source of strength for us.
We also shared good laughs, mowing each others lawns, with a little medical assistance tossed in the mix. And Dale’s great woodwork we have on our garage! Also, we loved hearing Dale’s music.
We are praying for each of you and our hearts ache for your loss. It is a comfort to know Dale is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
We love you Meravine and miss you too!
Sincerely,
Barb and Jessica Still
Psalm 23
Dale was my first pastor, meeting at Vancouver Christian Center, the day after I met Jesus, Feb 11, 1983. He modeled for me what our heavenly father is like. Dale was bold and tireless in working for the Lord and His people. He helped me lay a new foundation of faith in my life and I am eternally grateful. Thankfully we will be together for eternity, but here and now I pray for peace and comfort for his family and friends as all process this loss. There is joy in heaven at the homecoming of one of God’s great saints.
I had the privilege of working with Dale at the Everett Gospel Mission for over 6 years. Dale was a great friend, mentor, and brother to me. He was a godly man who had a tremendous compassion for those who were hurting, and a passion for God’s Word. He was an awesome example to me, personally, and to the other men and staff at the mission. Truly, I thank God for the opportunity to spend this time with Dale, and for God allowing him to be a part of my life. I rejoice in the knowledge that he is enjoying his reward and is in the presence of the Lord he loves. I look forward to the day when I will see him, again, and we can sing together in praise of the King! Praise Jesus!
At the same time, I grieve his loss to those of us who love him and who are diminished by his absence. May God grant you His peace in this time of loss.
In His service,
Douglas Sharp
