Juanita Adeline Wymore Williams Vaughn
Juanita Vaughn passed away on Monday August 22, 2011 at the age of 82. Juanita was born on October 22, 1928 in Sargent, Nebraska to James and Ora Foster Wymore.
Throughout her childhood Juanita moved a multitude of times between Kansas and Nebraska areas. In 1946 she graduated from Merna High School in Merna, Nebraska.
In December 1946 she married her first husband, Charles Williams, and they moved to the Tri-Cities in May 1948. In November 1957 Juanita and Charles received a special gift, their daughter Kathie Sue. In July 1958 Juanita and Charles gave birth to their son Charles Thomas Williams, but tears of joy soon turned into tears of sorrow, when 10 hours after Charles Thomas was born, Juanita and Charles had to lay their son to rest. Through all the heartache, Juanita and Charles moved forward to raise their daughter. After years of marriage Juanita and Charles divorced.
In August 1975 Juanita married her second husband, Donald Vaughn. They lived together on Wright Street in Richland, WA. Shortly after they were married, Donald was driving home from work and drove into the driveway of his old house on Wright Street. Realizing what he had done got back into the car drove a couple of houses down, walked into the house and told Juanita what had happened. After a good laugh, Donald told Juanita we are moving. So they bought a house in South Richland, where they both lived for over 30 years.
In 1993, Juanita retired from GESA Credit Union after 28 years of service. Retired life suited Juanita well. She traveled to many places across the USA with Don. She loved to water ski, snow ski and working in her yard which was her favorite thing. Whenever you went to Juanita's house it was full of colorful flowers, and the greenest yard on the block.
"Though you are no longer here on this earth you will forever be in our hearts."
