Kendall McIntyre
Kendall Miles McIntyre, age 52, lost his battle with cancer on August 4th, and passed peacefully at home surrounded by family.
Kendall was born on May 6, 1959 in Williston, North Dakota, the fourth son of William Glenn McIntyre and Margaret Marian McIntyre. As a child, he learned to make do with nothing more than "rocks, sticks, dirt, and one army soldier." His family moved from town to town sporadically because of his father's job, eventually ending up in Florence, Oregon, where he attended Siuslaw High School, and graduated in 1977.
In 1978 he moved to Eugene, Oregon, and attended Lane Community College, learning building construction, which later led to a job building homes in and around Eugene and Florence. He soon changed his occupation and trade when he began working for Firestone, then Williams Wilson Mazda, becoming the parts manager at that dealership in 1985.
About this time he met Janice Elaine Fruetel, and they were married March 21, 1987. They welcomed sons Sean Robert in 1990, and Kellen Matthew in 1993. Williams Wilson became Robert's Dodge, and when the owner decided to purchase the former Dodge dealership in Tri-Cities, Kendall was asked to come with the Robert's family. Kendall moved his family to Kennewick in 1996, and continued as the parts manager, even when Lithia Motors purchased the dealership. He remained the manager of the parts department until just a couple of weeks before his death.
He is survived by his wife, Janice, sons Sean and Kellen, brothers Russell McIntyre Peggy, Danny McIntyre, and Richard McIntyre, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Kendall leaves behind a legacy of hard work and humor that will not be soon forgotten. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11 at the First United Methodist Church, 2 South Dayton, Kennewick. An account in Kendall's name has been established, and those who wish to make a donation may do so at any US Bank branch.
Dear Janice,
Words are not enough to express our compassion at this moment. We are here for you and your boys and encourage you to lean on friends and remember how much you are cared about. Though a source of sorrow now, in time your memories will bring you comfort and peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad and difficult time.

We are so sorry for your loss. We will be praying for you alot.
I had the opporturnity to work with Ken @ Lithia Dodge years back. We kept in touch. A story to tell; Kens family visited us camping @ Little Naches. His boys rode quads on the trails, spent a leisure fun day w/his family there. My brother Dennis Day, attempted to show Ken an exciting bike trail ride but Ken ended up back at camp very soon. Whatever happened stays on the trail huh Ken: Ken recommended for us Morrow Cnty Park, a place to ride quads and camp, he was right a place to enjoy, fun, laughs and being w/family & friends we love it. Always memories that puts a smile on our faces when we talk or think about you Ken : : , Ethan & Beth Day
